Achilles Certification

Welcome to the online certification website for the Achilles® (fatigue tracking) module
of Cerberus for Coiled Tubing.

Achilles Certification provides service companies and operators with a means of evaluating an individual's readiness to use fatigue tracking software in the field for mission-critical operations. It is intended primarily for people who are new to the software and have completed the Achilles Online Tutorial, although the program is open to all Cerberus users.

A person with this certification has demonstrated their ability to:

  • navigate the software
  • understand the basics of CT fatigue
  • track the fatigue life of a CT string over a sequence of jobs of various types
  • update the CT string for common operations like cutting and splicing
  • interpret the fatigue profile and make decisions regarding the subsequent use of the string

There are five stages to the certification process:

  • registration - so we can identify you and store your results
  • activation - you are given a timeframe in which to take the exam
  • taking the exam - online, under controlled conditions
  • assessment - your responses are reviewed by Aradia
  • certification - if you achieve the required score

What to expect: [ preview ]

  • there are three sections in the exam
  • the first section is about Cerberus and fatigue theory
  • the second section involves manipulating an existing CT string
  • in the third section you run a sequence of jobs to calculate fatigue
  • you have 3 hours to complete the exam
  • you submit your answers and string data for review
  • your answers are evaluated by a person, not automatically

Each client company can designate a program administrator, who can pre-register students and monitor their progress and results online.

Each exam is unique! The questions and input parameters are controlled programmatically and are different for every test, minimizing the potential for abuse. This is why your answers must be reviewed individually. Representatives from Aradia Consulting or CTES are available for on-site training and exam supervision if desired.

The fee for this service is an annual retainer of $2,500 plus $299 per test submission.
This is separate from the Online Tutorial annual license fee.
